This decade old Walla Walla Valley vineyard struts its stuff with a dark, inky hue, explosive flavors of fennel, basil, oregano and chive ending with a silky smooth finish of ripe berry compote and cassis. Malbec and skinless, boned chicken thighs are a perfect fit. Place four thighs salted and peppered on an oiled sheet pan. Surround the thighs with garlic cloves, quartered Walla Walla Sweets, fresh tomatoes, tiny zucchinis, sliced sweet red peppers drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with Herbes de Provence, Kosher salt and pepper to taste. Place in the top rack of a 350 degree oven for twenty minutes – enjoy a glass of Malbec while you are waiting. Serve with slices of your favorite artisan bread. Voilà! |
