2008 Columbia Valley Malbec

This is our first bottling of a 100% Malbec from Sagemoor Vineyards, located north of Pasco on the Columbia River. The Malbec is breathtaking with a carrot cake nose, a mid-palate dark fruitcake laced with pecans before a lingering Mexican chocolate mole finish. Order take-out enchiladas with chicken or beans smothered in mole with rice and beans on the side from your favorite Mexican restaurant or reference Rick Bayless’ Mexican Kitchen cookbook and prepare the `Simple Red Mole Enchiladas with Shredded Chicken` with a side of fried beans. It is a perfect marriage – enjoy this dish with the Malbec often.
