2009 Columbia Valley Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is a flagship wine at Vintners and we take great pride in crafting the best in Washington State. The 2009 blend includes 85% Cabernet Franc from Dwelley, Cordon Grove, Sagemoor and Weinbau vineyards; 12% Merlot from Killian and Spring Creek vineyards; and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon from Sagemoor Vineyard Block 9. The rum-dipped cigar nose takes you to a chocolate mousse mid-palate with a finish of fresh vanilla bean. It is a perfectly pitched wine that pairs wonderfully with roasted wild salmon on cedar plank and a side of scalloped potatoes, heavy cream, Gruyere cheese and nutmeg.
