2009 Columbia Valley Bello Rosso

This Tuscan-like blend is a favorite of ours. Its flavors remind us of Siena where food is slow and simple and the wines are serious and complex. It contains 50% Cabernet Sauvignon from Sagemoor Vineyard and 50% Sangiovese from Kiona and Dwelley Vineyards. The candied cranberry and black cherry nose leaps from the glass inviting you to engage the allspice beginning, followed by a mid-palate of roasted sweet eggplant and finished with notes of black-olive and caper tapenade surrounded by blackberry.
