2010 Columbia Valley Cabernet Franc

This Cabernet Franc is our 15th and one of the most enjoyable we have crafted. In fact, it is my 2010 favorite. It is composed of 88% Cabernet Franc from Dwelley, Cordon Grove, Sagemoor and Weinbau Vineyards. The strawberry and spun sugar nose is seductive, drawing you to sip this elegant Franc. We added 9% Merlot from Killian and Spring Creek Vineyards to lift and frame the spicy core flavors of anise, black pepper and elderberry. The 3% Cabernet Sauvignon from Sagemoor Vineyard Block 3 adds cassis, blueberry and a hint of raspberry to the long finish. Finally, our toasted Hungarian oak barrels contribute the burnt crème and polished, sweet edge to this remarkable wine.
